Sterilization
A priority at the Michel Malboeuf dental clinic
Our commitment
Sterilization at our oral health clinic is up to the highest safety standards. In fact, it is conducted in our Steri-centre in three steps, with our advanced technological equipment.
First of all, each instrument goes through a pre-wash, and is rinsed, dried and wrapped. They are then put into a steam sterilizer, or Statim, for final sterilization. This is done after each treatment. A monitoring device is put on each instrument wrapping, guaranteeing that the sterilizer reached 132°C, the mark for complete sterilization.
As for the treatment rooms’ asepsis, we take the time, between each patient, to sanitize the chairs and all hard surfaces, and we systematically throw away all disposable equipment, such as gloves, tray liners, compresses and suction tool covers.
A sanitizing liquid is also passed through the suction device to prevent tubes contamination.
As an added precaution, we conduct tests on the efficiency of our sterilizers in collaboration with the Université de Montréal’s microbiology laboratory.
In other words, you are protected as much as we wish to be at all times!
